Relaxed baby at the right moment
Step 1 of 9

The right moment matters most

It works best to offer the Nuckly when your baby is:

  • calm and relaxed
  • not very hungry or overtired
  • looking for closeness and comfort
Tip: A content baby is far more open to new experiences.

Step 2 of 9

Create closeness & comfort

For the first attempt, hold your baby:

  • in your arms
  • close to your body
  • in a familiar position, e.g. similar to breastfeeding

Your voice, your heartbeat and your warmth create security – and exactly that calm passes on to your baby.

Step 3 of 9

Offer the Nuckly gently – without pressure

Bring the Nuckly slowly towards your baby’s lips:

  • gently touch the lips or cheek
  • wait until your baby opens their mouth
  • let your baby decide
Important: Never push it in. Trust grows without force.

Step 4 of 9

Support the natural sucking motion

Once your baby has the Nuckly in their mouth:

  • hold it loosely and without pressure
  • tiny movements can trigger the sucking reflex
  • calmly watch how your baby responds

Many babies start sucking all by themselves after a short while.

Step 5 of 9

Let your baby explore and decide

The Nuckly was deliberately designed so babies can grasp and explore it on their own.

  • pick it up by themselves
  • touch it, turn it, get to know it
  • build trust – entirely without pressure
Our tip: Place the Nuckly next to your baby, for example on the play mat, and simply let them get to know it first.
Calm baby, every baby has its own pace
Step 6 of 9

Be patient – every baby has its own pace

Some babies need:

  • several short attempts
  • different times of day
  • simply a little more time
Patience and repetition often work wonders.

Step 7 of 9

Nuckly alongside breastfeeding or bottle

The Nuckly is often accepted particularly well:

  • after breastfeeding
  • after the bottle
  • whenever your baby is looking for closeness

That way your baby links the Nuckly with relaxation and security.

Nuckly hygiene and safety
Step 8 of 9

Hygiene & safety

Please make sure to:

  • clean the Nuckly thoroughly before first use
  • check it regularly
  • replace it as soon as you see any damage

That keeps every soothing moment safe and carefree.

Step 9 of 9

Calm and trust are contagious

Babies sense very precisely how we feel. Stay calm, relaxed and positive – that mood gives your baby security.

Sometimes it simply takes a little time.
Finally

Our conclusion

The Nuckly helps babies build trust at their own pace. Thanks to its natural shape, the integrated handle and its self-directed approach, your baby gets to decide when and how to use the Nuckly.

With patience, closeness and trust, you create the very best conditions for that.
